The role that I have choose is the web designer.
Definition:
A web designer is someone who prepares content for the web. This role is mainly related to styling and the layout of pages with content on them, this might include text and images. Web designers use many forms of technology due to web being online so laptops, phones or other devices are used to access the Web. A Web designer might commonly rely on hypertext and hypermedia resources including HTML, CSS and additional Web design tools. Having a Web designer is important because it impacts how the audience perceives the brand you are trying to make. The impression you make on then can either get them to remain on the page to learn about your business or leave the page and turn to a competitor which isn't good for business.
Behaviours:
Behaviours are the way that someone might act towards another person and in this situation its the way that the web designer acts towards its other members on her/his team. As the Web designer is such an important role in a project, the Web designer is going to be working with a team. The Web designer needs to make sure that the way he/she is talking and communicating with the team is in a respectful and orderly manner as there needs to be a good moral when working in a team as if there is any conflict then this could disrupt the efficiency of the overall project. Being professional and appropriate in the work place is a very important aspect in how to make the project a success as if everyone is being professional and completing all work that is given then there will be no problems, however if some people with more important job roles in the project start to abuse their powers and take advantage for example be rude and look down on people then you might have people that loose respect for you and this could affect the work that is being produced therefore this could affect the project in a whole. As a web Designer you also need to make sure that you are presenting your self in order to look professional in your area but must make sure that being bossy doesn't come into the question as this could upset people and affect the efficiency of their work as they might feel their not getting treated right.
Attributes:
Attributes are the qualities that make up and define a person, for example in a job role such as a Web designer they have the ability to be open minded and have an outlook on the job they are being given. Personal attributes are qualities and characteristics that a person might have in a job for example. As a Web designer, it is imperative that you fins the perfect balance between the business side and the art side when you are being a designer. To become a great Web designer you need to have certain traits and attributes that set you apart from the crowd and make you different. One attribute that a Web designer must have is responsibility as this job role is very important ad many people rely on this job role as the success of the project, another attribute that a Web designer might have is good leadership skills, they need to have this as they need to be able to tell people what to do and tell people if they need help with anything. Another attributes that a Web designer might have is consistent, being consistent is when work is produced at a high level all the time, this is a really important attribute for a Web designer to have as they are creating important material that is going to be going online about the project and it needs to be made sure that it is consistent as if it is not to a high standard then this could lead to the project getting a bad reputation which will lead to the audience going else where. Another Attribute/ quality that a Web designer should have is to be able to find solutions, this is a really important attribute to have because while handling various projects, designers might come across various problems that will need sorted ASAP. If you are a web designer or any sort of designer you need to always make sure if you face any problems you look for a solution as soon as possible.
Behaviours are the way that one acts towards other people and the attributes are the qualities that one has . Examples of a personal attributes are having a sense of Humor, being Generous, being able to work in a team and being friendly.
Professional attribute:
Having a motivation to succeed is a good attribute to have in the work place because the main aims and objectives of a project is to be a success, if a person holds this attribute, then it doesn't matter what job role they are involved in, they will give their best and do everything they have in their power to make it a success which will have a really positive impact to the business and the project. Motivation is very key to have if you want to be successful and get tasks done. It is important for a Web designer to have motivation as this will allow the Web designer to get tasks done quicker and also design the web in a better and more time efficient way. Motivation is having the desire or willingness to do something, this is important for a Web designer to have as it is a very important role as this role consists off making the page for all audiences to see and the audience is most likely to know whether they will be investing compared to how good the web page is, so it is vital and important for the web designer to be motivated as this will lead to success. I also feel that motivation will allow the Web design to succeed as motivation consists of not stopping until it gets done is is perfect and i feel that if anyone has good motivation they will have an element of success in their lives.
Another attribute is being caring for everyone in the work place, if someone has this attribute then this is really positive as this means that people will have trust in you which could make the productivity levels in crease which is good for the project.. These are both positive attributes that could help in the work place. Web designers typically work in teams, so having a strong teamwork ethic is important, especially in a creative role - creative people tend to be more defensive of their work, and are easily offended. Therefore, showing empathy and diplomacy are vital.
A negative attribute could be not being confident when public speaking which can affect you if you had to stand up in front of many people and present ideas for new designs to people, either internally or externally; if you are not confident then it won't look good on your behalf and the company may rethink if employing you was the best decision for the company. If you are standing up and presenting ideas and your audience can see that you are not a confident speaking then i doubt they will put their trust in you as you not able to speak in front of people which is an important attribute to have. This may mean that the web designer will not be promoted to other tasks.
Perfectionist = They also need to make sure that they are a perfectionist, this is so that they can produce the best possible product to gain money and a good reputation for the business . A perfectionist is someone who wants to achieve the absolute best and to produce work with very high standards. A major factor of a perfectionist and why a perfectionist would be so key to a business is they have to get everything perfect and wont stop until they have done so, this is key for the business as this will limit mistakes happening that could affect the project/business in the long run. Perfectionists tend to do very good work to a high standard this is why it is important for a web designer to put a lot of effort and time in order because they have a very important role where mistakes have to be avoided as it can set back the project and delay deadline which isn't goof for the project. Designing requites meticulous attention to detail, and a number of different corrections and edits will be required before the final design is accepted. Being a perfectionist is generally a positive trait for a designer, as long as they are able to take on board feedback and criticism. They must understand that they are often working to client briefs, so the client's decision is final.

Bad attributes:
A list of bad behaviour attributes consist of deceitfulness , If you are seen as being deceitful then this could affect the relationship between you and your colleges. When working within a project, for me the most important aspect in a successful project is trust and if one of the team members has been seen lying or being deceitful then this could affect the productivity and efficiency of the project. Another attribute is being shy. This wouldn't be a good attribute to have incase you have to stand up in front of a big groups of people to speak about your ideas and if you don't come across as confident then it won't look good on your behalf. If a client sees a weakness in you and sees that your quite shy then this could affect the trust they put into you which could have an affect on the project. A good attribute to have is being confident , this is because it will show the company and clients that you know what your saying and this will indicate to the client or business that he/she is a good speaker in front of many people which is a good aspect. The way you present yourself is also key as first impressions is important and from taking one look at you this could determine if you look suited for the job or not. If you show weakness and are not confident in the way you speak then this will affect career development opportunities as media companies will want to take on confident people rather than people who are shy.
Personal attribute:
Drive = Having drive is a really important attribute to have as it shows that a person a willing to do anything for a team or business to make it a success, having drive as an attribute is very special as it shows the client that you are using your own initiative to work out things that might be challenging or hard. In the long run this will benefit the business and and the person as without a doubt the person who is a driver might get rewarded for all there hard work.
Time Management = They have to have good time management because if they are not sticking to a strict time scale then the product will not meet deadlines, if deadlines are not met then this can lead to other departments within the project being delayed as they might be relying on you. If this happens then this could be a problem to the product and business. If the tasks are taking much longer than expect then the time line that they set out at the beginning of the task will effect the deadline and final product release date, if this happens then the customers will have to be let know which can take time and this means that time isn't being spent efficiently. This wouldn't look good for the company if the product is out later than identified then this would show the client and audience that there not responsible and the trust that has been put into the project has been broken. This is bad as this could also affect if the client wants to use this company again as i doubt he will want a product that is late as it can have an effect on the customers and the project as a whole. Web designers often work to very strict deadlines; a web page going live is critical for the client, so if there is any delay, the client will not be happy. They will probably not come back for subsequent design work, and could potentially receive heavy discount if the work is late. Therefore, having time management skills is key.
Leadership Skills = This is a key and important skill that the web designer has to show as they are in charge of the making of the Web page which is going to be seen by many people . They will have to be able to lead the group in making sure that everyone knows what there doing in the production of the Web page. The Web designer also needs to make sure that everyone is completing tasks that he/she has set to make sure it is a success. As a leader, the Web Designer needs to make sure that he/she is strict and confident so people in the crew respect and listen to what the Web Designer is saying. Web designers will often be part of a large team, and promotion and progression within the company relies on the ability to lead. This may not be the case at entry-level, but the further you work up through the ranks, the more important leadership skills will become.
Communication Skills = The Web Designer will need to have good communication skills because they will have to communicate with other members in the team. As a Web Designer they will be delegating roles that other members of the team have to complete to make the Web page appealing to the audience and make it an success . They have to be able to tell people information that is needed to be done and when it has to be done by as deadlines are very important and need to be met.
A Web designer is someone who prepares content for the Web. This role is mainly related to the styling and layout of pages with content, including text and images. In this role as a Web Designer you will need to make sure that the layout, style and the pages with content on them are all correct and appealing. Creative job roles are often advertised in this way, so that candidates are able to achieve their desired salary, and employers have some flexibility, depending on the experience of the candidates.
